Dr Julianne Jaques is a barrister specialising in taxation law, having worked in the field for over 25 years, including the past 15 years at the Victorian Bar. She regularly appears in taxation matters in Melbourne and Sydney, particularly in the Federal Court and the AAT, acting for both the Commissioner and taxpayers. With extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution, she has appeared in early neutral evaluations, mediations and arbitrations. Julianne has also appeared in and advised on state revenue matters.

 

She holds a doctorate in law from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a chartered accountant. Prior to coming to the Bar, Julianne was a senior associate with Freehills, a senior adviser with PricewaterhouseCoopers and senior taxation adviser to the federal Assistant Treasurer. Julianne is a part time member of the Tax Practitioners Board and the Board of Taxation.
