Scott acts for private clients, regulatory bodies and revenue authorities. Scott is regularly briefed to assist clients engage with the ATO and SRO.
Prior to joining the Victorian Bar in 2013, Scott was employed as a Senior Lawyer within the ATO’s Legal Group conducting insolvency, debt and director’s penalty litigation.
Scott is familiar with economic and market concepts relevant to transfer pricing litigation. He gained this knowledge in his role at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission examining breaches of the then (Part IV) of the Trade Practices Act (Restrictive Trade Practices). From 2005 until 2011 Scott was engaged by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission in its Enforcement & Compliance Division (Victoria). In 2007 he was appointed an Assistant Director of the Victorian Division.
