Sam acts and advises in respect of a full range of tax and superannuation matters.

He has appeared in numerous disputes at litigation and pre-litigation stages for both taxpayers and revenue authorities. He accepts briefs in respect of state taxes.

Sam also acts in associated regulatory and commercial proceedings. These have included civil penalty proceedings in respect of tax exploitation schemes and under the Tax Agent Services Act 2008, merits review proceedings in tax agent registration matters and professional indemnity matters for tax advisers.

Sam has advised extensively in respect of the exercise of revenue authorities’ information gathering powers.
