Lucy Davis is a well-respected junior barrister practising in taxation and commercial law. Lucy has over 15 years relevant experience, in both top tier law firm and client environments. Her experience includes advising on, and resolving, international taxation issues. Lucy is available to provide technical, practical and strategic advice drawing on her experience as a key advisor and manager of tax matters including a long running transfer pricing dispute. Her experience includes analysis of corporate wide transactions and profitability of a large complex global companies in the context of the complicated and uncertain legal framework surrounding transfer pricing.
She has been involved in strategic case management, evidentiary preparation including selecting and instructing experts preparing independent reports, consideration of impact of Mutual Agreement Protocol meetings and negotiation of Advanced Pricing Agreement. Recently, Lucy appeared in the Court of Appeal in the matter of Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific Pty Ltd v Commissioner of State Revenue [2016] VSCA 194 (led by M Flynn QC).
