Edward began his taxation career in the Taxation Office in Melbourne Australia and worked in all the specialised tax areas viz., partnerships, trusts, companies and superannuation and in addition spent time as the legal officer to the Deputy Commissioner of Taxation Melbourne and as Officer in Charge of the High Profile Taxation Area.
Edward specialises in all facets of revenue law including taxation prosecutions in all courts; taxation recovery matters; income tax objections and appeals; taxation based bankruptcies and liquidations; goods and services tax; land tax; payroll tax; stamp duty; taxation of property transactions; partnerships; trusts and companies; superannuation; capital gains; international law and taxation; tax fraud; proceeds of crime/money laundering; white collar and corporate crime; judicial review and administrative law; privacy law; Freedom of Information; Judicial Review; Administrative law; and merits review.
Edward has practiced in all of the above areas over his long period of practice at the Victorian Bar and has practiced around the world in International and taxation law.
Edward has lectured in taxation and commercial law at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Melbourne University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.
Edward has appeared in many high profile revenue and commercial matters and has appeared at all level of the Australian Courts.
